What is the offline eApp?
The offline eApp allows you to access and fill out the BetterLife eApplication without internet access. Each agent who wishes to use this option must work with BetterLife to set up the offline eApp on their computer or tablet. BetterLife has a limited number of seats available for the disconnected version, so please only request access here if you feel you need to use this option on a regular basis.

Where do I find and manage my Disconnected User ID and Password?
Go into your profile in the online eApp to find and change your Disconnected User ID and Password. To access your profile within the eApp, click on your name in the upper right hand corner. Then, click on ‘My Profile’ in the dropdown menu. Scroll down to find your Disconnected User ID and Password. After making your desired edits, click the gray ‘OK’ button at the bottom of the window to save the changes.

What limitations does the BetterLife eApp have when it is used in disconnect/offline mode?
These functionalities are also NOT functional in the disconnected/offline eApp:
- Address Validation (including populating a list of addresses)
- Email Validation (will check formatting, but not validate the specific address)
- Driver’s License Validation
- Medication Lookup
- Physician Lookup
- Signature Collection
- Data being sent from eApp into Underwriting system
These functionalities are also NOT functional in the disconnected/offline eApp:
- Adding attachments in Additional Details screen
- Locking the application
- Collecting signatures
Can I start a new case when I am in the offline eApp?
Yes! You can run an illustration or start an application when you are in the offline eApp. You will need to sync your cases when you have internet connectivity so you can lock the application and collect signatures using the online eApp.

How do I switch from disconnected mode to the regular online eApp?
Whenever you enter information or run an illustration in the offline eApp, you will need to click the 'Sync Cases' button in the disconnected version when you have an internet connection. This transfers the information you’ve collected in disconnected mode to the online eApp so you can proceed with adding attachments, locking the application, and collecting signatures within the online eApp.
